Kata is a visual artist with synesthesia, translating inner experience into color and light
Inner States Collection
Inner States Collection
This collection is an exploration of my inner sensations. The connection to my body, and the subtle dialogue between myself and the external world.
I was interested in how deeply I perceive reality: through physical sensations, emotional responses, and intuitive states that arise before they become words or concepts. The works were created from a place of presence. There was no predefined concept or visual plan, only the intention to listen inwardly and allow what already existed within me to flow onto paper
ABOUTme
Katariina Kirsanova.
Born 2001, Finland.
My work is based on synesthesia, the blending of senses, where colors, shapes, and textures merge with music, emotions, and people. My pieces are visual interpretations of my inner experiences, where colors and light take on almost a living form.
I use a variety of materials and techniques, including painting, installations, and light art. I explore how sensory experiences can be transformed into a visible world and how what I feel internally can be shared with others. My art invites the viewer to step into the world of synesthesia for a moment, a space where sound transforms into color and people radiate their own unique glow.
